Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst provides key financial and business analysis and support to the leadership team; ensures accurate and timely financial reports; and helps identify areas of opportunity to improve business performance throughout organization. Key responsibilities include: Assists with producing Monthly/Quarterly/Annual financial statements, reports/schedules/summaries and related reports for organization’s leadership. Complete general ledger close, analyze results and recommend opportunities for improvement. Assist with quarterly forecast process with departments and consolidate. Analyzes and benchmarks business processes and drives improvements. Monitor A/R, A/P, PWC, Inventory and drive improvements. Coordinate and analyze the capital expenditures budget. Team with Automotive headquarters in consolidating global automotive results/forecasts. Perform financial analysis of business results and recommend improvement opportunities. Lead office kaizen initiatives and drive continuous improvement and MBF projects. Implement internal control policies and procedures and Sarbanes/Oxley requirements All other duties as defined by management. Required Capabilities: Thorough understanding of GAAP and the application to a manufacturing business. Strong cost accounting skills. Understanding of bills of materials and variance costing is required. Knowledge of finance and business measurements: expense performance, rate of return, working capital, investment, etc. Ability to prepare forecasts and analyze trends. Proven skills in account analysis, problem solving, and attention to detail. Experience in cost accounting preferred. Project management skills desired. Interest in applying value stream & process mapping, kaizen, MBF and other lean initiatives. Ability to influence others using reason as well as data. Ability to multi-task. Qualifications: Must have a BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area and a minimum of two years progressive experience in a similar role within a manufacturing business, preferably in the automotive environment dealing with OEM and/or tier 1, tier 2 suppliers. Manage By Fact (MBF) or similar process with experience coordinating with MBF teams strongly preferred. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Hyperion highly desirable. Must be able to work in front of a computer for long periods of time. Effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of a diverse and global organization. Self directed with a focus on process/continuous improvement.
